Vejlsøhus gets new life: Renovation of facades and windows
For the English version, see below…
Vejlsøhus Hotel & Conference Center will undergo an extensive renovation of facades and windows.
This update has been long requested and is an important investment in preserving and beautifying our historic building, which has a special place in the local area.
Vejlsøhus is much more than just a hotel. The building, which was built in 1903 as a sanatorium, is full of history.
Since then, the place has undergone several transformations, but the unique charm and historical heritage have been preserved.
The renovation ensures that Vejlsøhus can stand strong for many years to come, both as a cultural landmark and an attractive gathering place for guests and conferences.
When does it happen?
The renovation starts on the south side of the building.
The work will then continue around the east and west sides and be completed on the north side.
The entire project is expected to be completed in week 44.
Noise and scaffolding – we hope for your understanding
We strive to minimize any inconvenience, but scaffolding and periodic noise are inevitable during a renovation of this size.
To take the utmost care of our guests, the renovation will only take place Monday through Friday.
This way, weekend visitors can enjoy their stay in peace and quiet.
We are in constant contact with the craftsmen and try, as far as possible, to keep track of where and when the craftsmen are working.
Unfortunately, this can be challenging, and if situations arise during your stay that you believe are not appropriate, please contact us.
We are also available by phone and email if you have any questions before your stay.
We will of course remain open throughout the process.
Although we are in the process of transforming Vejlsøhus into an even more beautiful version of itself, we are pleased to inform you that the hotel, conference rooms and our other facilities are still open and accessible.
We look forward to welcoming you to an even more beautiful and contemporary version of Vejlsøhus.
At the same time, we are delighted that we can help write the next chapter in the building's long and fascinating history.
